🚧 Loop 202 Ramp Closures Coming Aug. 15-17

The Gist: Drivers should plan for multiple Loop 202 closures this weekend as part of the widening project. The westbound on-ramp at Val Vista Drive will close from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, to 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, along with the right lane between Val Vista and Lindsay Road. Additional ramp and lane closures are planned at McQueen Road and Arizona Avenue.

🛍️ Kids Gear Up for School with a Little Help

The Gist: Earlier this month, more than 250 Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley kids filled the aisles at Gilbert’s Kohl’s during a spirited back-to-school shopping spree. Funded by a $20,000 gift from the T-Mobile Foundation, volunteers paired up with kids to choose new clothes, shoes, and supplies, often focusing on essentials their families needed most.
