💌 Sending Kindness to the World

The Gist Students in the Gilbert Elementary Kindness and Service Club are celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Day by placing student-designed postcards and mailboxes at local favorites like Joe’s Real BBQ. Neighbors are invited to stop by these downtown spots to pick up a complimentary postcard and send a friendly message to someone special.

Why It Matters These simple notes of encouragement connect our town to the world, as last year's project reached neighbors in 37 states and four different countries. Look for the colorful kindness posters appearing throughout the Heritage District starting today, February 12.

🐾 A new pair of paws on patrol

The Gist: The Gilbert Police Department officially welcomed K9 Gideon and his partner, Officer Bracamontes, to the local force. Gideon is a dual purpose service dog trained in the Netherlands and certified here in Arizona for patrol and narcotics detection. After months of intensive training together, the pair is now fully active on our neighborhood streets.

Why It Matters: This addition strengthens local safety efforts by providing specialized skills to help officers during complex calls. Look for Officer Bracamontes and Gideon as they begin their daily shifts serving the Gilbert community.

🐾 Meet Casanova, a striking two and a half year old tortoiseshell mix.

This small domestic shorthair is a master of affection, known for her quiet confidence and love of a warm lap. She spends her afternoons at the Glendale PetSmart on Northern Avenue, waiting for someone to notice her vibrant orange and black coat.

Casanova is house-trained and thrives in a peaceful home where she can be the center of attention. She is a wonderful fit for families seeking a loyal, gentle companion. Her adoption fee is $100.00, which includes her spay and current vaccinations.
