Take a breath, look around, and enjoy the wonderful. Wishing you and yours a cozy, joy-filled holiday! However you celebrate, we’re glad to share this hometown with you.
In today’s Scoop:
🎨 A Walk Worth Lingering
🎄 Before You Head Out
☕ Sip Slow, Stretch Longer
🎁 Pickleball, Parties & Playtime

☕ Holiday Grounds, Deep Roots

Peixoto Coffee Roasters hits different this time of year. A true farm-to-cup operation, their beans travel straight from generations-old family farms in Brazil to your mug: no middlemen, no shortcuts.
This season brings extra magic: think Wintery Potpourri infused with clove and rosemary, Boas Festas gift-worthy blends, and playful sips like the Cotton Headed Ninny Nog.
It’s cozy, intentional coffee with a story you can taste.
🎁 Gluten-free gifts that feel homemade (because they are)

Joy Again Bakery’s lineup is full of scratch-baked classics your whole crew can enjoy, even the ones with food sensitivities.
• No fillers, no shortcuts, just real ingredients
• Baked in Mesa by a local mom with heart
• Pickup or delivery options available

🐐 Stretching With Surprise Guests

Arizona Goat Yoga promises an outing you pencil in for an hour and somehow linger through.
Coming weekend pop-ups like the Goat Yoga Holiday Shake Off on December 27 and A Goat Start to the New Year on January 2 lean playful, not serious.
Expect baby goats climbing, alpacas Kip and Rico posing, lots of laughs, and photos worth keeping.

🎨 A Colorful Stroll for the Holidays and Beyond

The Gist: If you are looking for something easy and festive during the final stretch of the holidays, Gilbert’s Public Art Map is a great place to start. With 70 art installations mapped by GPS, you can wander the Heritage District’s murals, glowing light displays at Water Tower Plaza, and even illuminated couches that feel like part of the town’s living room. Newer areas like Verde at Cooley Station and Agritopia add fresh murals worth revisiting anytime.
Why It Matters: It’s a relaxed, local way to enjoy the season and plan creative outings for the year ahead.
🎄 Holiday Hours and Helpful Reminders

The Gist: As twinkling lights go up and calendars fill fast, Gilbert is sharing a few seasonal reminders. Town offices will close at noon on December 24 and stay closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Trash and recycling will still roll through on their regular schedule, but bulk trash takes a short holiday pause the week of Christmas.
Why It Matters: A little planning now keeps holiday routines running smoothly for the whole neighborhood. Fireworks rules, tree recycling spots, and Gilbert 311 requests are all easy to find online.
