National Burrito Day lands today, making it the ideal moment to visit Morning Kick, a woman-owned neighborhood staple. While the food truck still draws crowds, their brick-and-mortar space offers a polished spot to settle in with a deck of cards or a board game.

The Arizona Burrito is a masterclass in texture, pairing fluffy eggs with the distinct crunch of golden hash browns and house-made green chile.

With Easter Sunday just around the corner, the kitchen is currently prepping for a limited brunch service from 7am to 1pm, featuring a floral, spring-inspired atmosphere.

🎨 A bright sprawl of tunnels and slides

Kids Empire offers a vast, multi-level landscape where the energy is contagious and the scale is impressive. The climbing structures and massive slides provide plenty of room to roam, while the dedicated soccer area and ball pits keep things active.

What makes it more fun is knowing that the staff genuinely looks out for everyone!

This Saturday, April 4th, the fun starts promptly at 9 AM with an egg hunt full of surprises. Getting there a few minutes early ensures a spot for the morning festivities before a full day of play begins.

🤝 Helping Hands for Gilbert Seniors

The Gist: On April 18, Gilbert is teaming up to help our older neighbors with those chores that have a way of piling up. Between 7:30 AM and 11:30 AM, crews will be out raking leaves, pulling weeds, and helping tidy up inside homes across town. Everything kicks off with a quick check-in at Page Commons at 7:15 AM before teams head out to their assigned spots.

Why It Matters: It’s easy for a yard to get overgrown or a house to get cluttered, and a few hours of work makes a world of difference for someone living on their own. This is about making sure our seniors feel supported and keeping our local streets looking sharp. It’s a great way to spend a morning giving back to the people who’ve been part of this community for years.

🐾 Meet Jefe, a thoughtful four-year-old German Shepherd mix

He brings an observant presence weighing in at a sturdy 76 pounds. This large fellow is a gentle soul who appreciates the quiet beauty of a steady walk and the simple joy of a well-earned treat.

While he is a bit reserved initially, his trust is a rewarding gift for a patient companion. Jefe prefers to be the only pet in a home without other dogs or cats. His adoption fee is currently waived, and he comes with a full suite of vaccinations and health perks.
