💧 Help Shape Gilbert’s Water Future

The Gist: Gilbert is teaming up with 22 other partners to plan for a more reliable long-term water supply, and your voice is needed. Right now, the community can weigh in on the Verde Reservoirs Sediment Mitigation Project, which aims to restore and expand water storage at Bartlett and Horseshoe reservoirs, key sources for our town.

Why It Matters: Water from the Salt and Verde rivers makes up 40% of Gilbert’s supply. This project could help secure it for generations.

🌟 Gilbert Tourism Earns National Seal of Excellence

The Gist: Gilbert’s Office of Economic Development just earned its first-ever national accreditation for tourism through Destinations International’s DMAP program. The recognition was announced last week in Chicago and puts Gilbert among just nine first-time recipients worldwide.

Why It Matters: It’s a big win for Discover Gilbert’s efforts to spotlight our town as a top travel destination and supports local businesses that thrive on visitor foot traffic.
