The countdown to our next big holiday is on, and Gilbert is making sure it’s one to remember. A huge celebration at Gilbert Regional Park, local food spots, live music, and classic summer activities are all making their way onto the calendar.

It’s going to be easy to start with one plan and end up discovering three more things nearby. That’s one of the best parts of living here, there’s always something happening around the corner. See y’all around!

🎆 Gilbert is going big for America’s 250th

The Gist: Gilbert is throwing a massive, free family celebration on Saturday, July 4 from 5:00 to 9:30 PM at Gilbert Regional Park. Sponsored by Earnhardt Hyundai San Tan and Haydon Companies, the gates open at 5:00 PM with outside food and coolers welcome. The night wraps up with a huge drone and fireworks spectacular launching at 8:50 PM.
Why It Matters: This is the most ambitious Independence Day show the town has ever put together, turning our regular holiday tradition into a once-in-a-lifetime milestone. It’s perfect for a laid-back night on a blanket with the kids, or you can opt for a VIP ticket to score premier seating, inflatable water slides, and some great food from Big Nate’s Family BBQ.
🚦 Lindsay Road Project Wraps With 230th Traffic Signal
The Gist Gilbert has activated its 230th traffic signal, this one at Layton Lakes Boulevard and Lindsay Road, marking the completion of the broader Lindsay Road Improvements Project that stretched from Queen Creek Road down to Ocotillo Road. The new signal gives the Layton Lakes neighborhood a safer, more controlled entry and exit point onto Lindsay.
Why It Matters: Anyone living in Layton Lakes, Seville, or anywhere in south Gilbert who uses Lindsay as a north-south route has felt the squeeze of that ongoing construction. The completed project widens Lindsay and adds bike lanes, sidewalks, ADA improvements, and the fiber backbone the town uses for traffic management, all of which should noticeably ease the daily commute.
