🎨 Where Creativity Gets a Little Messy

At Hot Potato Art Studio, kids dive into projects that spark joy and confidence.

One week it might be a Squishmallow adoption class, the next a cardboard dollhouse camp, but the common thread is laughter, paint-splattered hands, and teachers who know every child’s name.

🎨 New Art Doors Downtown

The Gist: Six colorful new artworks now brighten doors across Gilbert’s Heritage District, stretching from Heritage Marketplace down to HD South. Part of the Alley Gallery project, the pieces were created by Arizona artists and selected by local leaders, business owners, and Town staff.

Why It Matters: These doors add fresh creativity to downtown’s busy walkways, turning everyday spaces into community art. All works are included on Gilbert’s Public Art Map, so neighbors can take a self-guided stroll to see them. Read more here.

🎶 Regional Park Closes Saturday for Sound Bites Festival

The Gist: Gilbert Regional Park will close this Saturday, Oct. 11, for the Sound Bites Music & Food Festival. Crews will begin setup Friday, with the park fully closed from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Only ticket holders may enter during the event.

Why It Matters: Expect limited access and parking near the park this weekend. Tickets are still available for a day of live music and local food, featuring Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers and more. Details at gilbertaz.gov/SoundBites.
