Did February just completely fly by, or is that just us? One minute we were settling into the new year, and now the calendar is filling up and evenings are stretching out a little longer. This time of year always sneaks up like that in Gilbert.

You can spend an afternoon watching a local cowboy ride at the club, boots in the dirt and sunlight catching the dust in the arena, then wander into a boutique where every candle and journal feels thoughtfully chosen. Later, you’re reclining in a theater seat a few minutes from home, watching one of the year’s most talked about films!

It’s heritage, creativity, and modern comfort all wrapped into one very livable place. And somehow, it all fits.

Spring has a way of making us want to refresh our surroundings, and a visit to The Olive Branch Boutique feels like a natural place to start. The shelves are filled with Murano glass, embroidered journals, and handpicked candles that seem to carry their own stories.

There is a thoughtful, intentional energy here, rooted in the team's background in education and a clear pride in supporting independent makers and local artisans.

✨ Honoring Our Local Heroes

The Gist: Gilbert is bringing back its military tribute banner program to recognize local service members. For $130, you can purchase a custom banner featuring your hero’s photo, rank, and service details. These honors will be displayed throughout the Heritage District during Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day.

🐎 Our Local Cowboy Shares the Reins

The Gist: Gilbert's own Tomari Stevenson, affectionately known as Arizona’s favorite cowboy, is bringing a fresh spotlight to the Copper State Riding Club. Whether he is resting on the back of his stallion, MJ, or tending to the stalls of favorites like Hannah Montana and Mac, Tomari is keeping our local Western heritage vibrant. His recent showcase at the club highlights a deep, quiet connection between horse and rider that is gaining fans far beyond our town borders.

Why It Matters: It is a beautiful reminder that the spirit of the Old West is still alive and well right here in our neighborhood.

Rita is a two year old Chihuahua blend with long legs!

With a gentle presence at a sturdy sixteen pounds, she is the perfect size for a quiet evening on the sofa. While she may start your meeting with a touch of bashfulness, she quickly warms into a devoted lap dog.

Rita is looking for a tranquil home environment and is currently waiting for her neighbors to visit. Her adoption fee is $200. She is compatible with respectful dogs!
